Cuba is perhaps the world's #1 (and longest) supporter of Palestine. Both the Cuban government, as well as the Cuban people, have always supported freedom and statehood for Palestinians. Of course, with the crippling 65 year long US embargo on Cuba, they have not been in a position to help Palestinians as much as they wanted to. But with their history of 2 successful revolutions ridding Cuba from Spanish then US colonialism and oppression, Cubans have a very keen, personal understanding of the Palestinian struggle - since the 1948 Nakba.
